Pricing

At this time all of our puppies are priced at $2000 no matter color or sex.

We believe in providing the highest quality for a reasonable price.

All of our puppies are priced the same. We believe all of our puppies and dogs are equally valuable no matter their eye or coat color or sex. This means our brown eyed Tri and Bi dogs are priced the same as the flashier blue eyed Merles. We operate on a first come first served basis. If you want to have pick of the litter; get on our waitlist. (See waitlist policies in "Policy" tab)

Temperament Matching

We take temperament matching seriously. During puppy selection we will discuss with you which puppies best match your lifestyle. Of course color preferences will be taken into account, but we know that all our puppies are beautiful and it is most important that personalities are compatible.

WE LEAVE TAILS

The AKC does allow natural tails in the breed standard, though a docked, or natural bob tail is preferred for showing. Natural tails will not be penalized in the show ring.

Tails were historically docked for this breed because they were a working dog who were at risk of having their tail broken under foot while working cattle or running through thick brush on the plains.

We do not breed working line mini Aussies. Our dogs do not have an increased risk of injuring their tails any more than other pet breeds that retain theirs. Tail docking is considered mutilation and is painful and stressful for a tiny newborn puppy. We do not find it necessary or humane.

Are Merles Actually worth more?

There is a greater demand for "flashier" dogs, especially in this breed that is know for being so beautiful.

This increased demand has caused dangerous and unethical "double merle" breeding. Which results in blind and deaf dogs. We do not want to promote this disgusting practice and are part of a movement to change that.

We firmly believe that all of our dogs are equally beautiful. I get just as many compliments on Archi -a Black tri- as Pheobe, who is a stunning minimal merle. These dogs are so cool, they will change your world, if you want a flashy merle I get it, but I won't charge more for them.

Pick-Up/Shipping/Transport:

We are happy to have you come to our home to pick up your new puppy! In order to mitigate any potential germ transfers we will have you meet the puppies and parent dogs in our front yard.
If you cannot come to us there are several options for delivery. All shipping options will cost variably depending on which you choose.

We deliver!

If you know you will need a delivery option please notify us early so we can book flights for the lowest price possible.

  • There is a $450 delivery fee if I am flying to you, and you will of course pay for the cost of my flight and cost of puppy travel ($95 for the airline). We will meet at your preferred airport to transfer your puppy!

  • If it is within reasonable driving distance of Idaho Falls (<10hrs.), It will be a charge-per-mile cost for me to deliver. We will meet at a neutral location.

Flight:

  • If you fly to us we can meet you at the Idaho Falls airport or (for an added charge ($200) as it is a 6 hour roundtrip drive for me) the Salt Lake City International Airport. I am willing to deliver via flight travel, or we can also recommend a flight nanny service.

Ground Transport:

  • There is a ground transport company we have used and can recommend. Note: There are inherent risks in using ground transport services with puppies that are not fully vaccinated. I will not take on the liability of using these services.

BOYS VS. GIRLS

  • Male dogs tend to be more affectionate, higher energy and have a greater interest in learning and being adventurous. They typically are more attentive to their owners and enjoy a lot of physical affection. The saying goes "girl dogs love you, boys dogs will be IN love with you."

  • Female dogs are usually more independent and reserved. This means she might be less likely to enjoy getting out of the house and going on big adventures. Females are often very nurturing and intuitive with their families. If you are looking for a lower energy dog you'll usually find it with the girls.

Which is better?

It really depends on you and what your needs are. Neither sex is better than the other, there are pros and cons to both. Of course, just like humans you will always have puppies that challenge stereotypes. But I have found these generalizations to be pretty true among my dogs.
